Daniel van Dievoet comes from a well-known Belgian family that has been active in banking, stock-exchange and financial markets since the 18th century. He started to work in diamonds in 1986 as a free-lancer and soon found himself a prominent place in the trade. |

The family of Sajid Sathak who were
traditionally pearl merchants from Southern India became one of the
pioneers in diamonds and coloured stones trade when they established
Precious Trading Corporation in Hong Kong in 1954.Later, they set up
offices in other major trading centres in Asia -Bombay, Bangkok, Singapore
and Tokyo.
